There’s a new “discovery” website called The Fussy Librarian launching this week. It’s a place where readers sign up, indicate what kinds of books, ebooks, or audios they prefer (genre, degree of violence, sex, etc) and get customized emails either daily or weekly with recommendations. You don’t buy anything on the site, you simply take a look, and then either go to Amazon or one of the other vendors, or even your library, if you decide you want to read it.
I think it’s a worthwhile endeavor, and it might just have a chance to succeed, so I wanted to let you know about it. It will take time for them to expand their database, but it’s totally free for readers.
Btw, I have no interest in it and I don’t know the people who came up with it — I just think it’s a terrific idea. Check it out!
