A couple of months ago, I was honored to be included in the “Mystery Marathon”, an entire weekend of mystery shows sponsored by WYCC, a Chicago public station. Over the weekend they interviewed me during some of the breaks between the shows. I’ve tried to edit out the pledge parts, so what remains is about 20 minutes of a wide-ranging conversation.
For example, we talked about our favorite characters in mystery, and I was able to tell the Agatha Christie goes missing story. We also discussed why I started writing (the devil made me do it…), why Chicago is important to my stories, why I’ve written my way around the genre with so many different sub-genre thrillers, mysteries, and police procedurals, and the soft spot in my heart for public television.
Hope you’ll tune in at some point. Comments welcome!
